Kotapay’s Response to the Coronavirus

Kotapay is committed to providing you with the services you’ve come to expect and rely upon. We realize the critical and important role that Kotapay plays in processing transactions for you and your clients. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure there is no interruption in processing while we continue to practice social distancing.

During this uncertain time, make sure you know your customer and mitigate risk when processing payroll for your clients. Please read our blog post here to learn ways to mitigate risk and an additional processing window available to ensure good funds.

We are monitoring the situation closely and keeping in contact with State and Federal officials for guidance. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Data Security

Action Required 

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information you send to Kotapay and given the uncertain times right now, having a data security policy is more important than ever. Nacha also requires all participants in the ACH network to adhere to data security standards. Kotapay is required to ensure our customers are also adhering to these standards.

Please complete the Data Security Addendum available here or by logging in to the Kotapay website by July 1st, 2020.

Changes to Client Agreements


The Company Authorization Agreement has been updated so please be sure that you are either using e-Contracts through DocuSign or are always using the version from our website dated 3/2020. Older versions of this agreement will no longer be accepted after July 1st, 2020.

Effective April 30th, new client agreements will no longer be accepted via fax. Please upload via the “Upload a Contract” option (available under Other Services) or simplify the process by using e-Contracts through DocuSign.
